League Director

 RESPONSIBILITIES
 
·     Oversees and advises all committee members

·      Participates in league activities such as registration, publicity, coaching, special projects and fund-raisers

·      Calls and moderates Miracle League Committee meetings

·      Acts as communication link between their league committee and the Miracle League Association Board

·        Actively works to increase the number of players in the program

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

   

COMMITTEE MEMBER

Assistant League Director

Elected by the Miracle League Association

RESPONSIBILITIES

 ·      Assists and advises all committee members

·      Assists League Director in league activities such as registration, publicity, coaching, special projects and fund-raisers

·      Calls and moderates committee meetings in the absence of the League Director

·       Attends all committee meetings

·       Assists League Director in communicating with committee members

·        Assists in increasing the number of players in the program

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

 

COMMITTEE MEMBER

Secretary

·        Appointed by League Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Records minutes of committee meetings

·        Distributes copies of meeting minutes to League Director and Assistant League Director

·        Maintains records of all committee meetings

·        Attends all committee meetings

·        Participates in league activities such as registration, publicity, coaching, special projects, and fund-raisers

·        Communicates regularly with other committee members

·        Assists in increasing the number of players in the program

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

COMMITTEE MEMBER

Treasurer

·        Appointed by League Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Deposits all registration fees and contributions into league bank account

·        Obtains required signatures and distributes funds as approved by the League Director

·        Maintains league accounting records according to Federal 501(C)3 requirements

·        Maintains copies of all league budgets

·        Attends all committee meetings

·        Participates in league activities such as registration, publicity, coaching, special projects and fund-raisers

·        Communicates regularly with other committee members

·        Assists in increasing the number of players in the program

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

COMMITTEE MEMBER

Sponsorship Chairman

·        Appointed by League Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Identifies and recruits potential league sponsors

·        Obtains signed sponsor agreements and contributions

·        Corresponds with existing sponsors to ensure their continued involvement

·        Maintains thorough understanding of existing sponsor agreements and ensures the details are executed as specified

·        Works with the Treasurer to ensure contributions are deposited in the appropriate 501(C)3 fund

·        Sends “thank-you” notes to sponsors and donors

·        Orders field signs for sponsors

·        Assists coaches in garnering team sponsors

·        Attends all committee meetings

·        Participates in league activities such as registration, publicity, coaching, special projects and fund raisers

·        Communicates regularly with other committee members

·        Assists in increasing the number of players in the program

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

COMMITTEE MEMBER

Registration Chairman

·        Appointed by League Chairman

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Oversees mailing, receiving, and recording of player registration forms

·        Maintains database of player information and team rosters

·        Creates registration budget for the league

·        Attends all committee meetings

·        Participates in league activities such as registration, publicity, coaching, special projects and fund raisers

·        Communicates regularly with other committee member

·        Assists in increasing the number of players in the program

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

COMMITTEE MEMBER

Special Projects Chairman

·        Appointed by the League Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Implements and oversees special projects as defined by the League Director

·        Creates special projects budget for the league

·        Attends all committee meeting

·        Participates in league activities such as registration, publicity, coaching, special projects and fund raisers

·        Communicates regularly with other committee members

·        Assists in increasing the number of players in the program

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

COMMITTEE MEMBER

Fund-Raiser Chairman

·        Appointed by League Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Implements and overseas all fund-raisers for the league

·        Works with the Treasurer to ensure contributions are deposited in the appropriate 501(C)3 account

·        Attends all committee meetings

·        Participates in league activities such as registration, publicity, coaching, special projects and fund raisers

·        Communicates regularly with other committee members

·        Assists in increasing the number of players in the program

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

COMMITTEE MEMBER

Publicity Chairman

·        Appointed by League Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Secures and maintains media contacts in local market

·        Communicates with local media to publicize league events

·        Coordinates with Miracle League Association on national media coverage

·        Obtains copies of print and TV coverage for league Secretary and the Miracle League Association

·        Coordinates advertising and marketing projects with Sponsorship Chairman and Fundraising Chairman

·        Attends all committee meeting

·        Participates in league activities such as registration, publicity, coaching, special projects and fund-raisers

·        Calls and moderates Miracle League Committee meetings

·        Communicates regularly with other committee members

·        Assists in increasing the number of players in the program

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

COMMITTEE MEMBER

Equipment and Uniform Chairman

·        Appointed by League Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Creates equipment and uniform budget for the league

·        Orders all team uniforms and league equipment

·        Manages equipment and uniform distribution to teams

·        Attends all board meetings

·        Participates in league activities such as registration, publicity, coaching, special projects and fund raisers

·        Communicates regularly with other committee members

·        Assists in increasing the number of players in the program

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

Facilities Chairman

·        Appointed by League Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Oversees maintenance of Miracle League field and complex

·        Creates maintenance budget for the league

·        Attends all committee meetings

·        Participates in league activities such as registration, publicity, coaching, special projects and fund raisers

·        Communicates regularly with other committee members

·        Assists in increasing the number of players in the program

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

COMMITTEE MEMBER

Team Mom Chairman

·        Appointed by League Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Coordinates Team Mom activities and responds to their requests/issues

·        Creates trophy and team party budget for the league

·        Orders player trophies

·        Communicates team party budget information to Team Moms

·        Attends all committee meetings

·        Participates in league activities such as registration, publicity, coaching, special projects and fund raisers

·        Communicates regularly with other committee members

·        Assists in increasing the number of players in the program

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

COMMITTEE MEMBER

Director of Coaches

·        Appointed by League Director

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Oversees coaching staff to ensure Miracle League Rules and Regulations are being followed

·        Recruits potential head coaches and assistant coaches and assigns them to a team

·        Creates game schedules

·        Distributes copies of game schedules to all head coaches and board members

·        Creates player uniform budget for the league

·        Orders player uniforms

·        Attends all committee meetings

·        Participates in league activities such as registration, publicity, coaching, special projects and fund raisers

·        Communicates regularly with other committee members

·        Assists in increasing the number of players in the program

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

COMMITTEE MEMBER

Buddy Chairman

 ·        Appointed by League Director

 RESPONSIBILITIES

 ·        Coordinates recruitment, training and scheduling of the “Buddiesz’

·        Verifies that each player has a “Buddy” and al;so each team has extra “Buddies” on stand by at each game

·        Provides each “Buddy” with a schedue

·        Through the “Buddy”, maintains regular contact with players and their families to provide information on upcoming events or schedule changes

·        Attends coaches meetings as called by Director of Coaches

·        Arrives at field 30 minutes prior to game time

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

 TEAM MANAGEMENT

Head Coach

·        Appointed by Director of Coaches

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Coordinates team activities with Assistant Coach and Team Mom

·        Verifies that each player has a signed registration form

·        Ensures that each player receives a uniform

·        Provides players’ families with game schedule

·        Maintains regular contact with players and their families to provide information on upcoming events or schedule changes

·        Communicates concerns regarding specific players to the League Director

·        Attends Coaches meetings as called by Director of Coaches

·        Provides Director of Coaches with player uniform requirements (sizes, quantity, etc.)

·        Arrives at field 30 minutes prior to game time

·        Provides copies of team line-up to umpire and announcer before each game

·        Manages team equipment and ensures its arrival before each game

·        Assists players as they cross home plate

·        Ensures that the game keeps moving to avoid running past the start time for the next Scheduled game

 TEAM MANAGEMENT

Assistant Coach

·        Appointed by the Director of Coaches

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Assists Head Coach and Team Mom with team activities

·        Verifies that each player has an assigned buddy

·        Arrives at field 30 minutes prior to game time

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field

TEAM MANAGEMENT

Team Mom

 ·        Appointed by the Team Mom Chairman

 RESPONSIBILITIES 

·        Assists Head Coach and Assistant Coach with team activities

·        Creates and distributes team snack and drink schedule for players’ families

·        Arrives at field 30 minutes prior to game time

·        Demonstrates enthusiasm, love, and concern for each player and family

·        Demonstrates high morals and integrity on and off the field
