It’s just the little things we do
That makes us wealthy, I have found-
A smile, a hug, or just a handshake.
These things make the world go ‘round.
A phone call or just a cheerful note
To brighten someone’s day…
And spending time with children
As they learn, and as they play.
It’s not the fortune, nor the fame;
It’s not the way we dress.
It’s not the people we meet-
All of this does not impress.
It’s just the kindness that we show.
Forgiveness, mixed with care and love.
It’s just the little things we do,
As God observes us from above.
If you know
anyone who would like to join our league, please let them know and invite
them to come out. We want to continue to grow our league.
A poem from Kathy Hayward (Jessica’s a.k.a. Hollywood’s
mom) who is a volunteer at the Moody Miracle League.
“Miracles in
the Field”
I need to share a story of these miracles I’ve met.
Each one independent of this you can bet.
Some young, some old and most never played! Till all of
their dreams someone heard one day.
These miracles their all the most precious I’ve seen!
They’ve come to play softball with a very special team.
They are truly blessed they were touched with such love
it could only be from above.
Such courage, such fight they all seem to have they
give it their all no matter how bad.
Nothings ever to far or ever out of reach these miracle
league angels are hard to defeat.
They come from all over from far and wide, to be truly
blessed is to be by their side.
They fill us with joy and give us their heart. They
show us such fun, hmmm and we think we’re smart.
For they know their winners from the absolute start,
and each life they touch is straight from the heart.
This joy and this happiness they have found on this
field of old recycled tennis shoes as become all too real.
For the parents they stand back very proud and in awe
of what’s truly a miracle yes that’s what they saw.
The best time you’ll have I can promise you that, this
pure love induced softball; yes that’s where it’s at.
Most of them thought they never could but those miracle
league players their all awful good.
This is the place where many dreams have come true
especially for the players, but us parents too.
This pure joy we find in their ability to win in
everything that they do again and again.
So come one and come all in the spring and the fall,
they play just like the rest so please come play ball.
It’s not in the score that gives us such pride; it’s
very much simply just because we tried.
If I had to describe them with one simple word, all the
miracle league players’ prayer have been heard.
Just like the setting free of a dove, these miracle
league players were truly sent from above.
They’ve blessed us all of this I am sure, because the
will of each one will forever endure.
These aren’t unlike any you’ve seen, so come one and
come all and take part in this dream.
It’s not really so much the game or who they may play,
it is simply an absolute wonderful way to spend the day.

Hi my name is
Kellie Nickens and our team the Ascension Braves 12 year olds were blessed
to be a part of the Dizzy Dean World Series. After playing our game Friday
night we were so happy to attend the Braves game at The Miracle Field. Our
children could not stop talking about how much they enjoyed the game. Our
children knew everyone of the players name on the field. This gave us a
chance to show our children just how special life is. For that we are truly
grateful. I hope one day we will get the opportunity to visit again.
As you can see
from the picture and poem that was given to your team the kids you have on
your team has really touched our hearts.
To our sadness
we lost out of The World Series on Sunday but, we will never forget the joy
that we felt when we were at The Miracle League Field!!!
Thanks You
Kellie Nickens
